Equines bring us together.
We come from diverse backgrounds with varied experience. Among our members are equine professionals, accountants, homemakers, programmers, kindergarteners, cooks, and retirees.

Pack Support
We haul in supplies to rugged and remote areas for the Forest Service, Wildland Firefighters, and others.

Trail Clearing
We remove deadfall and clear hazards from trails like the CDT, ensuring they’re ready for your next hike or ride.

Education
We organize clinics and rides so you, your horse, and your equipment are ready for the backcountry.

Camaraderie
Our potlucks are second-to-none, so campouts and rides are our second-favorite activities.

The Jemez Region
Jemez Mountain areas have pristine sub-alpine mountains, meadows and streams, which include the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. One southwestern gem is the Valles Caldera which offers miles of grassy valleys and vistas. The greater Jemez region offers several more areas that are great for stock use like the lowlands of the BLM Ojito Wilderness, the Red Rocks above Jemez Pueblo, several mesas with stands of ponderosa pine, and miles upon miles of open sage and pinon juniper country.

Ride with Us
Come to a campout and give backcountry riding a try. You don’t need to be a member for your first event. After that we offer family and individual memberships, which help support us as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
